About the SALAM Ground Support Systems (GSS) Supervisor Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a SALAM Ground Support Systems (GSS) Supervisor to join their team in Taif. This full-time role involves coaching and delivering On-the-Job Training (OJT) to GSS Technicians, focusing on developing GSS-specific knowledge and skills. The supervisor will also be responsible for maintaining the technical knowledge of Typhoon GSS, including all sub-systems, and supporting RSAF Typhoon operations.

Key Duties and Tasks

• Coach and deliver OJT to GSS Technicians to develop GSS-specific knowledge and skills.
• Maintain the level of technical knowledge for Typhoon GSS, including all sub-systems.
• Deliver GSS maintenance services, including corrective and preventative diagnosis and rectification tasks.
• Produce routine reports for inactive user accounts and mandated training.
• Attend meetings, including SHE, entry into service, factory, and site acceptance tests, as directed by team leaders.
• Provide GSS Subject Matter Expert (SME) support to internal audits.
• Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) and Quality Assurance standards across all GSS-related activities, including compliance with all related regulations, policies, and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee all Typhoon GSS Administration activities related to the delivery, mobilization, and maintenance of GSS installations supporting RSAF Typhoon operations at main operating bases and KSA-based deployments.
• Support GSS Team Leaders in the performance appraisal of GSS Technicians.
• Assist project teams with technical issues in the design, planning, initialization, and rollout of solutions to provide GSS capability to the Salam organization.
• Manage the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware and software related to the GSS Operational infrastructure.
• Raise Technical Publications Request Forms (TPRFs) against approved data when necessary.
• Assist with knowledge transfer, mentoring, counterpart development, and consolidation activities with RSAF GSS System Administrators and PC SNs.
• Ensure compliance with all governance requirements of the Operational Framework, including ITAR, LCM, planning, monitoring, and change control.
• Assist with effective supervision of Safety, SHE, and Quality Assurance across all GSS-related activities.
• Understand all aspects of GSS and its associated systems, including their impact on business objectives, and communicate this to the team.
• Complete all mandated business and technical related training by deadlines.
• Report all safety-related occurrences and non-compliances via the Line Manager.
• Understand all elements of GSS Management documents and procedures relevant to this role.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in supporting aircraft ground capability, such as mission planning or maintenance management systems, OR 2 years after successful completion of a BAESSA apprenticeship program (SNTTP/TSNTTP).
• Familiar level of skills in support aircraft ground capability, such as mission planning or maintenance management systems.
• Awareness level of knowledge of Continuing Airworthiness.
• Awareness level of knowledge of aircraft operation environments and of the aircraft weapon system.
• Familiar level of skills in aircraft operations management.
• Awareness level of experience in operations support services.
• Saudi Engineering Council (SEC) Registration is required.

Desired Skills and Attributes

• Ability to work independently to resolve issues.
• Effective communication skills and a proven ability to organize and deliver tasks on time.
• 3+ years of experience within the field of service delivery in respect to IT support.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Taif, Saudi Arabia, requiring an individual with 5-10 years of relevant experience. Salary details will be disclosed during the application process.
