About the Associate Cybersecurity Analyst Role

Abdullah A. Al-Barrak & Son Co. is seeking an Associate Cybersecurity Analyst to join their team, working on-site with Saudi Aramco – SMP in Dhahran. This full-time position is designed for cybersecurity professionals with 2 to 5 years of experience who are proficient in security operations, log analysis, and SIEM technologies.

Role Focus

The Associate Cybersecurity Analyst will contribute to maintaining and enhancing the security posture within the operational environment at Saudi Aramco – SMP. The role primarily involves active participation in security operations, focusing on the analysis of security logs and the effective utilization of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform security operations tasks, including monitoring and incident response activities.
• Conduct thorough analysis of security logs to identify potential threats and anomalies.
• Utilize SIEM technologies for event correlation, alerting, and reporting.
• Support the administration and optimization of security tools and platforms.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, specifically in security operations, log analysis, or SIEM technologies.

Required Technical Skills and Certifications

• Strong knowledge of Splunk, Cribl, SIEM platforms, and log analysis methodologies.
• Good understanding of Windows and Linux administration, networking principles, databases, and general cybersecurity operations.
• Basic scripting skills in languages such as Python or PowerShell.
• Basic knowledge of major cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Required Certifications: Splunk Power User and Splunk Administration.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, working within the Saudi Aramco – SMP operational environment. The role requires on-site presence to support critical cybersecurity functions.
