About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Cancer Care Nurse 3 to provide advanced-level nursing care within an assigned unit in Dhahran. This full-time position is central to supporting operational processes, maintaining high standards of patient care, and resolving complex clinical issues. The role requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview and Strategic Impact

The Cancer Care Nurse 3 contributes to strategic initiatives focused on enhancing nursing practices within the unit. This includes active participation in the development of protocols and processes designed to improve patient safety and operational efficiency. The role is instrumental in fostering high staff engagement, ensuring a positive patient experience, and sustaining a high quality of care and patient safety. Furthermore, this position supports the empowerment of nurses through the integration of the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care services, with a particular focus on complex cases.
• Assist in managing workflow, ensuring proper resource utilization, and providing mentorship to junior nurses.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and participate in the evaluation of patient outcomes.
• Achieve and/or maintain the mandated set of activities for level 3, which requires a minimum total of 20 points in at least four categories within each 12-month cycle as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, specific to the patient's age.
• Provide nursing care and patient/family education consistent with the plan of care and needs of the patients, respecting their privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture, while demonstrating acceptance, caring, and empathy, utilizing appropriate resources when applicable.
• Precept new hires and trainees during the probation training period and participate in making recommendations regarding progress and training needs.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and life-saving situations by utilizing clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment for the patient, family/visitors, and staff.
• Manage patients with invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, which includes close monitoring and assessments of patients' treatment and care coordination.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for the Cancer Care Nurse 3 position are required to have 2-5 years of experience in a relevant nursing field, demonstrating proficiency in advanced nursing care and clinical problem-solving.

Work Environment

This role operates within an assigned nursing unit at JHAH in Dhahran. The Cancer Care Nurse 3 works closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient and coordinated care delivery, fostering a collaborative environment focused on patient well-being.
