Field Specialist, Drilling Services (MWD/DD)

Baker Hughes is seeking a Field Specialist for Drilling Services, specializing in Measurement While Drilling (MWD) and Directional Drilling (DD), to join our team in Dhahran, Eastern Province. This full-time role involves providing technical support and problem resolution at well sites for moderately complex situations, requiring analysis of various factors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and demonstrate proficiency in the skill profile required for delivering Logging While Drilling services at the well site.
• Report on Drilling Services portfolio activities.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Wellbore Placement and Collision Avoidance Practices, including their relation to DD & MWD activities.
• Complete advanced technical training and assigned well site development programs.
• Develop proficiency in delivering Directional Drilling services at the well site.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Hydraulics and Torque & Drag Simulations.
• Supervise best practices for Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) handling and make-up.
• Demonstrate knowledge of activities and technologies related to well construction, such as Hydraulic Expandable Reamers and Circulation Subs.
• Communicate and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the field as a Directional Drilling (DD) or MWD specialist.
• Fluency in English and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Eligibility to work without visa sponsorship.

Work Environment

This role involves working on-site with customers in various locations across the region. Work schedules will align with customer operating patterns. Upon project completion, extended leave opportunities are available before commencing the next project.
