About the Solution Development Consultant Role

Aramco Digital is seeking a Solution Development Consultant to join its team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to translating complex customer business challenges into innovative, scalable, secure, and commercially viable digital platform solutions. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in solution consulting or digital transformation.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Solution Development Consultant provides senior solution consulting and digital transformation expertise. This position bridges customers, Sales, Product, Architecture, Engineering, and Delivery teams, leading solution development from opportunity shaping and customer discovery through proposal, solution design, and transition to delivery. The Consultant acts as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders, ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value, align with product and technology strategy, and meet functional, technical, commercial, security, and scalability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer business challenges, requirements, operating models, and technology environments to identify transformation opportunities.
• Design end-to-end digital platform solutions, solution blueprints, and high-level architectures.
• Define solution scope, assumptions, dependencies, constraints, integrations, infrastructure, data flows, APIs, and interoperability requirements.
• Recommend fit-for-purpose technologies and digital capabilities, considering functionality, scalability, security, performance, cost, and time-to-market.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and technology standards.
• Develop scalable, reusable solution components, reference architectures, and accelerators.
• Lead customer discovery workshops, requirement gathering, validation sessions, and solution discussions.
• Identify customer pain points and translate business priorities into actionable solution concepts.
• Present solution architectures, value propositions, implementation approaches, and demonstrations to business, technical, and executive stakeholders.
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the solution development lifecycle.
• Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to shape opportunities and develop winning solution strategies.
• Lead or contribute to RFP, RFQ, tender, proposal, and proof-of-concept activities.
• Develop technical proposals, solution documentation, implementation approaches, SOWs, solution sizing, and effort estimates.
• Provide technical and commercial inputs to pricing, cost models, business cases, and value propositions.
• Support customer clarification sessions and solution-related negotiations.
• Align customer requirements with existing products, platforms, and capabilities.
• Identify capability gaps, product enhancement opportunities, and reusable platform components.
• Provide customer and market insights to Product Management to support roadmap prioritization.
• Contribute to industry-specific solutions and differentiated product propositions.
• Lead solution handover to Engineering and Delivery teams, ensuring solution intent, scope, architecture, and requirements are maintained.
• Participate in design reviews, implementation clarifications, UAT, and solution validation as required.
• Identify delivery risks and dependencies and incorporate lessons learned into future solutions.
• Monitor emerging technologies, cloud platforms, digital trends, competitors, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend innovative solutions aligned with market and customer needs.
• Maintain solution documentation, architecture diagrams, templates, reference materials, and knowledge repositories.
• Ensure solution development follows organizational governance, quality, architecture, and security standards.
• Coordinate with Sales, Product, Architecture, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Delivery, Customer Success, Finance, and other stakeholders.
• Integrate multidisciplinary inputs and resolve solution dependencies to develop cohesive customer propositions.
• Provide senior-level technical and business guidance throughout opportunity development.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in solution consulting, digital transformation, or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing complex digital platform solutions.
• Proven track record in leading solution development from initial concept to delivery transition.

Technical and Strategic Acumen

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and strategic acumen, including the ability to recommend fit-for-purpose technologies and digital capabilities while considering functionality, scalability, security, performance, cost, and time-to-market. This includes ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and technology standards. The role also requires the ability to monitor and evaluate emerging technologies, cloud platforms, and digital trends to recommend innovative solutions aligned with market and customer needs.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

Effective collaboration is crucial, involving coordination with Sales, Product, Architecture, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Delivery, Customer Success, Finance, and other stakeholders. The Consultant will integrate multidisciplinary inputs and resolve solution dependencies to develop cohesive customer propositions, providing senior-level technical and business guidance throughout opportunity development and acting as a trusted advisor to senior customer stakeholders.
