Faculty Positions in Geosciences

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for full-time faculty positions within the Department of Geosciences. We are seeking qualified Saudi candidates for roles at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. These positions are based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

Areas of Specialization

We are particularly interested in candidates specializing in one of the following fields:

• Geophysics
• Environmental Sciences
• Geology

Candidate Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following academic and professional criteria:

• An earned ** degree from a reputable university in the relevant field.
• Full-time bachelor’s and master’s degrees with very good grades.
• Certificate equivalency if the certificate was obtained from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Core Responsibilities

The selected candidate will undertake a range of academic and professional duties, including:

• Carrying out teaching duties.
• Conducting research.
• Providing academic advising to students.
• Performing administrative duties as required.
• Undertaking any other academic duties assigned by the concerned academic department.

Work Commitment and Medium of Instruction

This full-time position requires a commitment of approximately 35-40 hours per week for professional duties. The primary medium of instruction at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) is English.
