Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join its team in Dhahran. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care within a leading healthcare organization.

Role Summary

The Dental Assistant performs essential tasks that support dentists and dental therapists during clinical procedures. The primary objective of this role is to ensure the provision of efficient and effective patient care through direct assistance and operational support within the dental clinic.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistance to dentists and dental hygienists across diagnostic, operative, and preventive procedures, covering all phases of clinical treatments.
• Maintain sterile equipment and ensure the cleanliness of the operatory area.
• Perform various X-ray procedures within the operatory setting.
• Execute more complex tasks, including the preparation and mixing of materials for patient treatment. This involves preparing anesthetic syringes with appropriate needles and carpules, rubber dam equipment, impression materials (alginate, hydrocolloid, rubber base), periodontal dressings, cements (zinc oxide, zinc phosphate, calcium hydroxide), and restorative materials (amalgam, composite resins).

Professional Development and Supervision

The Dental Assistant will develop new skills through continuous in-service training and chairside experience. This development occurs under the direct supervision of a Dentist, On-Job Trainer, and Senior Dental Assistant. The role operates directly under the supervision of the Dentist or with guidance from the Senior Dental Assistant.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant dental assistant role.
• Possession of SCFHS Certification, as applicable.
