About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Electronic Warfare Senior Training Instructor to join their team in Dhahran. This full-time role involves delivering specialized Electronic Warfare (EW) training and providing expert advice to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF). The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Context and Contribution

This role supports BAE Systems' commitment to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by enhancing the capabilities of the Saudi armed forces. The instructor will contribute to the development of a skilled workforce within the Saudi defense industry through the delivery of advanced EW training programs and the application of best practices in training methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with the RSAF EW Directorate point of contact to assess, prioritize, and manage the delivery of Ground EW Training courses according to the Semi-Annual Plan (SAP).
  • Deliver Ground EW Training, including the current EW Officer course, EW Initial lecture package, EW Refresher, and Current Operations lectures.
  • Supplement Ground EW Training with simulations such as Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE) and Augmented Reality Mission Observation & Rehearsal (ARMOR).
  • Provide ad hoc briefings on EW to RSAF and/or Electronic Warfare Directorate (EWD) nominated individuals.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in fields related to the post and provide out-of-Base courses when requested by RSAF.
  • Offer specialist and professional advice on best practices in training methodologies, technologies, and tools.
  • Identify and work towards meaningful objectives that align with the needs of the section and wider business.
  • Engage in two-way communication, sharing information and listening to other parties' views and expectations.
  • Support, cooperate with, and collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
  • Adopt a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving, applying this to achieve practical solutions.
  • Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as appropriate.
  • Actively participate in the development and issuance of formal reports.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • At least 5 years of EW experience with broad, up-to-date knowledge of EW and related technology.
  • Highly experienced in the practical application of one or more of the following roles: Signals Intelligence and database operation, Procurement (operational requirements, trials, training), Engineering (radar/electro-optics/EW), Fighter controlling (GCI/AWACS), Application of active jamming, Suppression of enemy air defenses, or EW ground/air training.
  • Experienced in the structure of training systems and qualified in instructional techniques, preferably from a recognized school.
  • At least 2 years of experience in classroom, synthetic, or airborne/flying instruction.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of RSAF operational experience as aircrew on multi-engine, fast jet, or rotary-wing platforms with an EW capability.
  • Working knowledge and experience of EW in the airborne environment.
  • Established quality working relationships with the RSAF.
  • IT literate and able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • Experience and knowledge of RSAF practices and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of training methodologies, analysis, design, and instruction.
  • Self-starter capable of operating without supervision.
