About the Field HSE Specialist Role

SLB is seeking a Field HSE Specialist to support local managers in establishing and continuously improving the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture at the worksite. This full-time position is based in Dhahran, Eastern region, and requires 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop awareness and ensure quality and HSE compliance are integral to Line Management responsibilities and objectives.
  • Assist management and support functions in implementing and improving Quality and HSE Management Systems, and defining related objectives.
  • Liaise with customers, subcontractors, and agencies regarding quality and HSE matters.
  • Assess local risks and generate and implement local policies and plans.
  • Establish controls to verify implementation and maintain related records.
  • Conduct review meetings to assess the effectiveness of Quality and HSE Management Systems and identify necessary improvements.
  • Coordinate and participate in the screening and training of personnel, including subcontractors.
  • Stay informed of new developments or policies related to quality and HSE, and communicate these to management.
  • Ensure HSE documentation is readily available on site.
  • Advise management on compliance with local and national HSE regulations of the host country.
  • Participate in quality and HSE audits and investigations of major failures and accidents.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of awareness among all personnel through communication, training, and ensuring employee participation in HSE incident prevention and reporting activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in HSE roles, preferably within the oil & gas or industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of HSE management systems such as ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
  • Familiarity with local and international HSE regulations and standards.
  • Proven experience in risk assessment, audits, and incident investigation.
  • Relevant HSE certifications (*, NEBOSH, IOSH) are preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong communication and training capabilities.
  • Ability to promote a safety culture and ensure compliance on site.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Dhahran, Eastern region. The role involves direct support at worksites.
