About the Role

emagine is seeking a Finance SME Power & Utilities (Downstream) to join their team in Dhahran, Eastern region. This full-time role is critical for ensuring the accurate representation of financial activities within the power and utilities sector, specifically in downstream operations, within financial data models and segment reporting. The position is equivalent to a Senior Manager level and requires over 10 years of experience.

Role Purpose and Context

The primary purpose of this role is to enhance financial visibility and decision-making capabilities within the organization by accurately integrating financial data from the power and utilities sector into reporting and data models. This involves working on the Finance Data Model, Reporting, and Segmentation Design workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture finance-related data specific to the power sector, including tariff structures and established reporting practices.
• Define the methodologies for recording, allocating, and transferring costs and revenues associated with power, steam, and utility consumption.
• Provide expert advice on the accounting implications of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and their corresponding reporting requirements.
• Validate the General Chart of Accounts (GCOA), asset dimensions, and outputs related to segmentation in power reporting.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 10 years of experience in a senior finance role within a power generation, cogeneration, or utilities business.
• Proficiency with tariff structures, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and utilities cost-allocation models.
• Understanding of asset-based performance reporting methodologies.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with power assets that are integrated into refining or petrochemical operations.
• Familiarity with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) power sector.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Eastern region, with emagine. The role operates at a Senior Manager equivalent level, focusing on critical financial data and reporting initiatives.
