About the Role

Alrawaf Contracting is seeking an Asset Control Lead to join their team in Al Qassim. This full-time role is critical for overseeing the effective control, tracking, utilization, maintenance coordination, and lifecycle management of the company's construction equipment, vehicles, tools, and other physical assets. The Asset Control Lead ensures all assets are properly managed in accordance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable KSA regulations, providing accurate data to support operational and management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain an accurate master register of all company assets and monitor their location, status, ownership, assignment, and utilization.
  • Ensure assets are properly tagged, coded, and recorded in the company's ERP/asset management system.
  • Control asset movements between projects, warehouses, and workshops, maintaining proper documentation for transfers, handovers, receipts, and returns.
  • Monitor the deployment and utilization of heavy equipment, light vehicles, machinery, generators, lifting equipment, and tools, coordinating with project teams for availability.
  • Track equipment downtime, idle assets, utilization rates, and operational status, identifying underutilized or surplus assets and recommending actions.
  • Ensure all asset documentation is complete, accurate, and readily available, including ownership, registration, insurance, inspection certificates, and warranties.
  • Ensure equipment and vehicles comply with company requirements and applicable Saudi regulations, monitoring expiry dates for statutory requirements.
  • Plan and conduct periodic asset counts and physical verification exercises, investigating discrepancies and preparing reconciliation reports.
  • Control the mobilization and demobilization of assets between projects and locations, verifying assets and ensuring proper handover documentation.
  • Prepare regular asset control and utilization reports, develop KPIs, and analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Lead and supervise Asset Controllers, Coordinators, and other asset control personnel, allocating work, establishing priorities, and monitoring performance.
  • Develop and implement effective asset control procedures and workflows, improving tracking through ERP systems, barcode/RFID technology, or GPS.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in asset control or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing construction equipment, vehicles, and tools.
  • Proficiency in using ERP/asset management systems.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and regulatory compliance in KSA.

  • Asset register accuracy and reconciliation accuracy.
  • Asset utilization and availability percentages.
  • Number/value of missing or unaccounted assets.
  • Asset transfer processing time and equipment idle time.
  • Asset documentation compliance and renewal compliance for registrations and certifications.
  • Physical verification completion rate and asset-related audit findings.
  • Asset recovery and disposal efficiency.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Qassim, requiring coordination with various project teams, workshops, and warehouses. The role involves leading a team of asset control personnel and collaborating with logistics, transportation, procurement, and equipment teams.
