IT Development Division Head

About the Role

Al Watania Poultry is seeking an IT- Development Division Head to lead its software development and IT support infrastructure in Al Qassim. This full-time leadership position is responsible for the strategic vision, architecture, and successful delivery of software and IT services, ensuring alignment with user needs and company objectives. The role involves managing a team of developers and IT specialists and collaborating with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of senior software developers and software developers.
• Develop and deliver a strategic technological vision and direction for Al Watania Poultry.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of applications including SAP, SAGE, Patch Applications (Maintenance, Medical, E-Recruitment, etc.), and Mirnah.
• Manage Software Development and IT teams to deliver software, infrastructure, and architecture that meets user needs.
• Ensure delivery consistent with Agile processes across the team.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure delivery against agreed priorities.
• Implement mechanisms to monitor, manage, and report progress on all software development activities.
• Accountable for the on-time and quality delivery of software development projects.
• Responsible for the maintenance and development of internal and external IT support systems.
• Create, implement, and maintain a continuous improvement plan for software development and IT infrastructure.
• Work closely with Product Managers to meet current and future user needs.
• Define and maintain the IT technology strategy and infrastructure plan in conjunction with the Systems Manager.
• Research the external environment and identify and recommend external partners for best-in-class technologies suitable for company applications.
• Review and apply best practices to establish architecture and frameworks consistent with the Product Strategy.
• Identify and implement technology trends that will support the future success of the business.
• Articulate the company’s technological vision, opportunities, and challenges to colleagues, Trustees, and user communities, as agreed with the Head of Science and Product Managers.
• Collaborate with appropriate functions and users to evaluate and identify technology platforms for delivering the company’s products and internal services.
• Understand use cases (and/or user stories) to oversee the design of the architecture for products.
• Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.
• Drive consistent standards and approaches throughout the development teams.
• Responsible for personal work planning against objectives set in agreement with Management.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in software development and IT leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage technical teams effectively.
• Experience with application development and maintenance, including SAP, SAGE, and other enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of Agile processes and software development methodologies.
• Proven track record in delivering software development projects on time and to quality standards.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is 9000 - 13500.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia. The role requires close collaboration with AWP-Management, the Head of Database, and other members of the Senior Leadership Management Team (SLMT).
