About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) | مستشفى الملك فيصل التخصصي in Medina is seeking an Assistant Consultant in Anesthesiology, specializing in General Anesthesia. This full-time role involves assisting in the provision of medical care within the Anesthesiology department and supervising interns and residents, adhering to established medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and hospital policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Clinical Responsibilities: Assist the Consultant in patient care and management in Anesthesiology, provide high-quality patient care according to approved clinical privileges, offer inpatient and emergency room consultations, ensure timely and accurate medical record completion, provide on-call service, conduct daily morning rounds for discharge planning, ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to discharge, and perform other related clinical duties.
• Academic Responsibilities: Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows. Participate in departmental educational activities and training programs, partake in national and international medical conferences, and maintain professional knowledge and continuing education requirements.
• Research Responsibilities: Participate in clinical, basic, and translational research projects in line with Research Advisory Council Policy to advance knowledge, improve postgraduate education, and contribute to the hospital's recognition.
• Administrative Responsibilities: Undertake administrative duties assigned by the Head of Section or Chairman, participate in mandatory departmental activities, serve on departmental and hospital committees, assist in developing and implementing techniques to maximize resource utilization, abide by hospital and medical staff bylaws, and participate in self and others' education, training, and development.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates for this position should meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of two (2) publications in Lung Transplantation.
• Two (2) years of training in specialty and subspecialty, plus post-training experience.
• Experience required: 2-5 years.
