About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Maintenance Helper to join our team in Medina, Almadinah Almunawwarah. This full-time position is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, involving a range of essential maintenance tasks. The role is crucial for ensuring the property's operational efficiency, upholding safety and quality standards, and contributing to an excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform minor plumbing repairs, including unclogging drains and toilets, and addressing sink or faucet leaks.
• Execute various minor repairs such as tightening toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, ensuring proper cleaning and lubrication.
• Adhere to all chain safety and security policies and procedures, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure continuous compliance with established quality requirements and standards across all assigned tasks.
• Perform other duties as requested by management that are consistent with the position's scope.

Guest Service and Professional Conduct

• Welcome and receive guests in accordance with company standards, proactively anticipating and responding to their needs, and providing assistance to individuals with reduced mobility.
• Utilize clear and courteous language in all forms of communication with guests and colleagues.
• Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with other employees, actively listening and responding appropriately to their issues.
• Maintain a clean and complete work uniform, ensuring a neat and professional appearance at all times in the workplace.
• Respect confidentiality regarding brand and/or hotel-specific information and diligently protect all company property.

Physical Demands

• Ability to perform extension and flexion movements of the knees, including bending, turning, pulling, and stooping.
• Capable of visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machinery for operational integrity.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place loads weighing up to 23 kilograms independently.
• Assist in moving, lifting, carrying, and placing loads exceeding * kg (*, air conditioners, televisions, dressers).
• Navigate stairs, service access areas, and/or ladders as required.
• Carry, turn, and handle loads of various sizes and weights safely.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or secondary level equivalence is required.
• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a related maintenance or hospitality support role.
