About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a dedicated Plumber to join its team in Medina. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the operational integrity of plumbing systems within the property. The role focuses on ensuring all plumbing infrastructure functions efficiently, adhering to quality and safety standards, and providing professional service to guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and fix minor plumbing problems, including unclogging drains.
• Assemble and install pipe sections, tubing, and fittings according to specifications.
• Conduct tests on pipes and fixtures using water or air to detect and locate leaks.
• Review blueprints, building codes, and technical specifications to plan installations.
• Install and maintain various pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances, and fixtures.
• Perform miscellaneous minor repairs as required.
• Execute preventative maintenance on plumbing tools and equipment to ensure longevity and safety.

Operational Standards and Guest Interaction

• Adhere strictly to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly and complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance at all times.
• Ensure the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.
• Foster and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with all individuals.
• Ensure consistent adherence to established quality expectations and standards in all tasks.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
• Capable of assisting with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Comfortable moving up and down a ladder.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Plumber position should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in plumbing maintenance and installation. A strong understanding of building plans, codes, and specifications is essential for planning and executing installations effectively. The ability to measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required angles is also a key skill for this role.
