About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Dir-Finance-B to serve as the strategic financial business leader for its property in Medina. This full-time role involves championing and implementing property-wide strategies to deliver products and services that meet or exceed the expectations of the brand's target customers and employees. The position provides financial expertise to support the successful execution of brand service strategies and initiatives, while also maximizing return on investment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to improve profitability, including cost/benefit analysis and exploring new business opportunities.
• Analyze financial information, forecast sales against expenses, and create annual budget plans.
• Monitor actual sales against projected sales and analyze variances in budget wages for efficient planning.
• Create the annual operating budget for the property and provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement appropriate controls to manage business risks and ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment.
• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with company and brand strategy.
• Provide ongoing analytical support by monitoring operating department sales and producing accurate forecasts.
• Lead finance teams by demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills, advocating sound financial decision-making, and leading by example.
• Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes and conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports.
• Manage communication with owners, understand their priorities, and advise the General Manager and executive committee on financial issues.
• Manage property working capital and cash flow in accordance with brand standards and owner requirements.
• Ensure accurate documentation of Profits and Losses, monitor applicable taxes, and submit timely reports.
• Generate accurate and timely financial reports and presentations, and reconcile balance sheets.
• Ensure compliance with management contracts, reporting requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Oversee human resource activities within the department, including cross-training, fair policy administration, and new hire orientation and training.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in finance or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement property-wide financial strategies.
• Strong analytical skills for financial data and market trends.
• Experience in creating and managing annual operating budgets.
• Proficiency in implementing control systems to manage business risks.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Medina, where the successful candidate will function as a key strategic financial leader within the property. The role involves working closely with the General Manager, executive committee, and various operating departments.
