About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Occupational Safety & Health to join their team in Medina, Al Madinah. This full-time role is responsible for assessing risks within the hotel work environment to minimize associate illness and injury during work hours. The Supervisor will inspect hazardous factors and evaluate the quality of equipment and facilities, guiding the organization towards a healthy and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the organization in maintaining a healthy and safe work environment through advising, monitoring, and reporting.
• Engage staff in programs that verify safe practices and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Assist management with employee training, motivation, and coaching.
• Serve as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
• Follow all company policies and procedures, and protect company assets.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with others, preparing and reviewing accurate written documents.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in occupational safety and health or a related field.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Strong interpersonal skills to listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.

Physical Requirements

• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations, including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• Lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and over 75 pounds with assistance.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
