The Opportunity

KEO International Consultants is seeking an experienced Technical Manager - MEP to join their team in Medina, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and overseeing the technical aspects of a large-scale high-rise construction project, ensuring all technical operations, design, and implementation meet established standards and are delivered within schedule and budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the technical team and coordinate with departments such as planning, procurement, and construction to ensure smooth project execution.
• Oversee the development, review, and approval of architectural and engineering designs, ensuring compliance with client requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
• Monitor and control all technical aspects of the construction process, ensuring work quality meets project specifications and standards.
• Provide expert consultancy and technical advice to the project team and clients, resolving design or construction challenges.
• Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely project completion with minimal disruptions.
• Liaise with key stakeholders, including clients, architects, consultants, and subcontractors, to resolve technical issues and align with project goals.
• Ensure all work complies with local building codes, international standards, and sustainability practices.
• Oversee resource allocation, monitor project budgets, and ensure cost-effective solutions for technical needs.
• Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout the project.
• Mentor, guide, and manage the technical team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to enhance business opportunities.
• Oversee technical aspects of all projects, working with Project Managers and other disciplines to ensure designs align with project scope, standards, regulations, budget, and client goals.
• Ensure project design and technical details meet quality standards defined in the Project Execution Plan by actively participating in QA/QC procedures.
• Attend and chair workshops with consultants and contractors, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on identified actions.
• Advise clients on all technical matters pertaining to cost, scope, and schedule.
• Ensure work is conducted in accordance with quality assurance protocols.
• Identify and resolve management, technical, or administrative issues to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in MEP technical management.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical aspects of large-scale high-rise construction projects.
• Strong understanding of architectural and engineering designs, regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in quality assurance and quality control procedures.
