Technician Painter

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Technician- Painter to join their team in Medina. This full-time position involves applying various finishes to property surfaces and furniture, ensuring high-quality standards and adherence to safety protocols. The role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces for finish coats by applying primers or sealers.
• Remove old finishes through stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces with appropriate protective materials during painting and post relevant paint signs.
• Clean up and properly store paint, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to modify colors of paint, stain, or varnish.

Operational and Safety Duties

• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests professionally.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with others.
• Support the team in achieving common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capability to move up and down a ladder.
• Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
