Electrical Technician

About the Role

Acwa China is seeking an Electrical Technician to join their team in Tabuk. This full-time role involves performing maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification activities on electrical machinery and equipment within the plant. The successful candidate will ensure effective functionality and reliability in accordance with standard maintenance procedures, HSE guidelines, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily and routine preventative electrical maintenance work according to established schedules and ACWA NOMAC procedures to support continuous operations.
• Monitor the physical condition of all equipment in the assigned plant and report non-conformances to the Electrical Engineer or Supervisor to ensure effective maintenance as per Quality/HSE standards.
• Respond to electrical failures and implement corrective actions in adherence with procedures and guidelines to minimize downtime and maximize equipment functionality.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, including diagnosing, repairing, and testing circuit or wiring faults, and locating cable faults to confirm connection points and cables can withstand capacity voltages.
• Diagnose causes of electrical malfunction or failure in operational equipment such as transformers, motors, relays, switches, and control devices, and take corrective measures in collaboration with the Electrical Engineer or Supervisor.
• Interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams to perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
• Align, adjust, and calibrate equipment according to specifications, and maintain accurate records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.

Inventory Management and Documentation

• Monitor stock levels of necessary spare parts to support effective inventory control.
• Update the maintenance logbook with details of work performed, including defaults, problems, findings, and equipment conditions, to ensure timely information availability and organized referencing.

Continuous Improvement and Compliance

• Contribute to the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programs, and projects in line with organizational standards.
• Adhere to all relevant organizational and departmental policies, processes, standard maintenance procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out consistently and to the required standard.
• Comply with all relevant health, safety, security, and environmental procedures, instructions, and controls to guarantee employee safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant electrical technician role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform maintenance, installation, overhauling, and modification activities on electrical machinery and equipment.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical failures and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Tabuk, focusing on plant operations and maintenance. The role requires adherence to strict HSE guidelines and quality standards.
