About the Reliability Manager Role

JIGPC - Jazan Integrated Gasification and Power Company is seeking a highly experienced Reliability Engineering Manager to lead the reliability function for its world-class gasification and power facility located in Jazan. This full-time role is responsible for ensuring optimal equipment performance, improving plant availability, and driving reliability excellence through data-driven strategies and advanced maintenance practices. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in reliability engineering or maintenance, with 3-5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability strategies to optimize the performance and availability of critical assets.
• Drive continuous improvement programs across maintenance and reliability functions, aligning reliability objectives with business and operational goals.
• Lead predictive and preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Monitor asset performance, analyze reliability data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and failure investigations to eliminate recurring issues.
• Improve equipment reliability, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and overall plant efficiency.
• Implement advanced reliability tools such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and condition monitoring systems.
• Ensure effective defect elimination and maintenance optimization programs are in place.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of reliability engineers and specialists.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to support plant performance.
• Interface with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

• A mandatory Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
• A Master’s degree is considered an advantage.
• Certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), or Six Sigma are preferred.
• Minimum of 10+ years in reliability engineering or maintenance.
• 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Experience in the energy, gasification, or power generation industry is highly preferred.

Technical and Leadership Skills

• Strong expertise in RCM, RCA, FMEA, and various maintenance strategies.
• Experience with rotating equipment and critical industrial assets.
• Proficiency in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) / Asset Performance Management (APM) systems (*, SAP, Maximo).
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques and AI/IoT-based monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to drive performance, safety, and operational excellence.
