Role Overview

DP World is seeking an Assistant Supervisor Service Quality to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves assisting in the supervision of cargo examination operations, with a focus on ensuring safe and efficient handling, compliance with quality standards, damage prevention, and continuous process improvement within terminal operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising cargo stripping, repacking, and lashing operations.
• Conduct spot checks and inspections to ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Monitor the handling of fragile, hazardous, and oversized cargo to prevent damage.
• Observe equipment usage and report any unsafe practices or malfunctions.
• Identify deviations from SOPs and support the implementation of corrective actions.
• Coach labor teams on proper cargo-handling practices.
• Participate in briefings, audits, and initiatives aimed at quality improvement.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to daily and weekly quality reporting.
• Analyze instances of cargo damage and support the development of preventive measures.
• Ensure proper repacking, lashing, documentation, and overall service quality.
• Coordinate with operations and quality teams to resolve issues effectively.
• Support SOP reviews, process improvement efforts, and staff training programs.
• Assist with compliance related to customs, safety, environmental regulations, billing, and Value-Added Services (VAS).

Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Quality Management, or a related field is required.
• Candidates should possess 3–5 years of experience in cargo handling, quality control, or terminal operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of cargo handling procedures, terminal operations, and equipment safety is essential.
• Experience in quality control, process improvement methodologies, and Lean practices is preferred.
