About the Role: Audio / Video Technician

Marriott International is seeking an Audio / Video Technician for a full-time position in Jeddah. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing malfunctions and ensuring the proper functioning of various systems within the hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect and diagnose malfunctioning tools, equipment, electrical systems, apparatus, and components.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Utilize testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure proper operation.
• Test batteries in generators, emergency lighting, and other critical systems.
• Plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and current National Electric Code and local codes.
• Read and follow blueprints and schematics accurately.
• Respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and appliances.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition necessary parts and supplies.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Complete required safety training and certifications, and properly store flammable materials.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guests’ service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, listening and responding appropriately to concerns.
• Communicate using clear and professional language, preparing and reviewing information accurately and completely.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Capability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in electrical or electronic systems maintenance and installation. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to work effectively within a team.
