IT Business Solution Officer

About the Role

SGS - Saudi Ground Services is seeking an IT Business Solution Officer to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role is responsible for the daily deployment and governance of the Enterprise Architecture for SGS, providing support in IT enterprise architecture design, and implementing necessary changes and improvements to ensure efficient delivery of critical business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning of roadmaps and migration strategies for application, information, and technology architecture to meet business demands and growth.
• Assist in the analysis required to define the architecture roadmap, aiming to reduce costs and improve time-to-market for IT services.
• Ensure solution architectures comply with the master IT enterprise architecture.
• Develop and review proposals for SGS projects intended for external customers.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for adopting new technologies and ensure alignment with technology strategies.
• Assist in developing IT technical standards documentation to ensure technology compliance.
• Define and maintain data, application, and technology architecture.
• Liaise with relevant departments to ensure architecture integration and harmony.
• Maintain and continuously update the application blueprint to ensure overall application architecture visibility.
• Stay informed about industry-related technologies and trends, guiding technology roadmap development in line with SGS’s business requirements.
• Leverage knowledge resources within SGS to provide technical recommendations and insights to other stakeholders within the IT Function.
• Contribute to performing design reviews to ensure that all IT applications are interoperable, manageable, and adaptable.
• Assess any possible redundancy of IT application functionalities within the application architecture to minimize costs.
• Contribute to planning for future application architecture to ensure it is properly identified and complies with leading frameworks and standards.
• Ensure data architecture is implemented effectively and all architectural and technical standards are adhered to.
• Develop optimized solutions and propose domain-specific remedial solutions to existing data inconsistencies and lack of integrity to optimize data storage and reduce costs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Management Information Systems is required.
• Experience: 0 – 2 years of experience in a relevant field or a similar job.
• Certifications: Professional certifications are not applicable for this role.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within the IT Function, collaborating with various departments to ensure integrated and harmonious architectural solutions.
