The Role of Stock Take Planner

Panda Retail Company is seeking a Stock Take Planner to manage all activities related to physical stock takes. This role is crucial for ensuring proper cut-off dates for stock counts and providing accurate inventory count reports. The Stock Take Planner will prepare and share these reports with stakeholders to enhance visibility and identify the root causes of stock loss, aligning with Panda’s overarching objectives.

Key Accountabilities

• Interact with Store Managers and District Managers to support with data related to store’s inventory cutover activities.
• Support all departments in writing off SKUs or entire stores, as per business needs.
• Prepare and update the Store Inventory Management (SIM) schedule based on communication.
• Create product groups for specific stores or departments scheduled for stock counts and share with relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure all transactions (Sales, DSD, RTV, DC charges) are processed in the system before stock count initiation.
• Prepare DSD/RTV, Transfer IN/OUT reports prior to the scheduled store stock take.
• Verify Goods In Transit (GIT) and open transactions before physical stock take.
• Address bulk sales issues and manage pending invoices by communicating with relevant parties for resolution.
• Hold sales for physical inventory stores until final posting.
• Generate pre-posting variance reports and select high variance SKUs for re-verification.
• Perform necessary corrections and post count data in SIM.
• Capture required data to update Business Intelligence (BI) systems.
• Prepare top 30 SKUs by location after each store stock count.
• Complete full reconciliation of counted stores for second adjustments.
• Prepare and share reports for Fresh Food Inventory, Supplies, and Packaging counts with stakeholders.
• Advise and follow up with stores on all issues related to incorrect adjustments to ensure they are fixed.
• Verify that all stores have posted stock take results on SIM/RMS as per the monthly plan.

Analysis and Compliance

The Stock Take Planner will analyze final stock take results to identify any discrepancies, incorrect counts, repeated patterns, and high-value variances or adjustments. This analytical work is critical for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

Candidates for this position should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in inventory management, stock taking, or a related field, preferably within a retail environment. The role requires a strong understanding of inventory processes and reporting.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with responsibilities covering operations in both Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires a dedicated individual capable of managing complex inventory tasks across multiple locations.
