The Role: Service Leader - F&B (Captain)

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a full-time Service Leader - F&B (Captain). This role extends beyond standard guest greeting and serving duties, focusing on creating memorable dining experiences within the Food & Beverage outlets in adherence to Shangri-La Standards. The F&B Captain supports the Outlet Manager in daily operations and supervises Waiters/Waitresses to ensure guests receive maximum service quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, friendly service to customers, reflecting the Shangri-La Jeddah philosophy.
• Ensure service standards are met on the assigned station.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the menu and dish preparation methods.
• Offer menu suggestions to guests.
• Handle minor guest complaints and report them to the Manager or Assistant for appropriate action.
• Ensure smooth cooperation between the Restaurant, Kitchen, and Stewarding departments.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure timely service delivery to guests.
• Verify that billing is completed accurately and posted correctly.
• Adhere to Shangri-La Food Safety Processes and Procedures.
• Regularly check and ensure compliance with personal hygiene and staff grooming standards.
• Assist and train subordinate colleagues to contribute to the success of the F&B outlet.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an F&B Captain in 5-star hotels.
• Experience in a high-end restaurant environment.
• The role requires 2-5 years of overall relevant experience.
