About the CORTEX Operations Specialist Role

TAWANTECH is seeking an experienced CORTEX Operations Specialist to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for supporting, monitoring, and managing CORTEX application operations within a critical banking environment.

Role Purpose and Operational Focus

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the continuous availability and operational stability of CORTEX applications. The specialist will be responsible for proactive monitoring, efficient incident resolution, and effective coordination with various technical and business teams to maintain seamless banking operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support day-to-day CORTEX operations within the banking environment.
  • Monitor CORTEX applications, services, interfaces, and batch processing for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Handle application alerts, failures, and operational issues in adherence to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Coordinate effectively with infrastructure, database, middleware, network, and application teams.
  • Support deployment, release, patching, and production change activities.
  • Perform regular health checks and ensure high availability and system performance.
  • Manage incident, problem, and change requests using ITSM tools.
  • Prepare operational reports, incident analysis, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with banking security policies, operational controls, and audit requirements.
  • Participate in on-call and production support activities as required.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CORTEX Operations, Application Support, or Production Support.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CORTEX systems and applications.
  • Previous experience in the banking or financial services sector is required.
  • Strong knowledge of production operations, incident management, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems, SQL, databases, and application monitoring tools.
  • Understanding of batch processing, system interfaces, APIs, and application integrations.

Core Competencies and Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, including Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-availability and critical banking production environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • ITIL certification.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical banking applications and 24/7 production environments.
