About the Role

Tetra Pak is seeking a Government Relation Manager to oversee interactions with government authorities and ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory requirements. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, and requires 5-10 years of experience. The role involves managing governmental processes related to licensing, visas, work permits, and other operational approvals essential for the company's continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key government entities, including MOHR, GOSI, MISA, Civil Defense, Customs, Chamber of Commerce, MOI, and Municipality.
  • Ensure full compliance with all Saudi labor laws, immigration regulations, and governmental procedures.
  • Manage business licenses, renewals, permits, and legal documentation to ensure seamless operations.
  • Supervise the issuance, renewal, and cancellation of visas, work permits, and residency (Iqama) for all employees.
  • Support new staff and their direct family members in settling smoothly.
  • Oversee the creation and renewal of employment contracts within the Qiwa platform.
  • Manage the Saudization program, ensuring adherence to mandated quotas and national workforce regulations.

Regulatory Strategy and Reporting

  • Monitor updates to Saudi laws, regulations, policies, and licenses, providing timely insights on their impact to senior management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of required reports, filings, surveys, and documentation to relevant authorities.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to optimize government-related workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Directly manage one administrative assistant/broker.

Crisis Management and Dispute Resolution

  • Address government-related disputes and compliance issues in collaboration with HR and Legal teams.
  • Act as the primary point of contact during audits, inspections, and official reviews conducted by government authorities.
  • Lead disciplinary committee activities and participate in staff disciplinary processes.

Collaboration and Coordination

The GR Manager will serve as the primary liaison between the company and government bodies, ensuring timely and efficient execution of all regulatory obligations. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with Tetra Pak-appointed legal partners in Jordan, Lebanon, Yemen, Kuwait, and the UAE on matters involving government regulations and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in government relations or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with government entities.
  • Strong understanding of Saudi labor laws, immigration regulations, and governmental procedures.
  • Experience in managing business licenses, permits, and visa processes.
