About the Role

PHRS is seeking a Head Waitress for SARK operations in Jeddah. This full-time role involves overseeing the service team during banquet events and catering operations, ensuring smooth execution of service and maintaining high standards of guest satisfaction. The Head Waitress will lead and supervise various operational aspects, from staff management to event setup and closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure correct arrangement of table settings, buffet stations, bars, and service points according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Inspect venue cleanliness and setup prior to guest arrival.
• Oversee smooth and timely food and beverage service, aiming for high guest satisfaction.
• Provide personal attention to VIP guests, handling special requests discreetly and professionally.
• Respond promptly to guest feedback and report any issues to the Banquet Management Team.
• Monitor staff grooming, hygiene, and uniform compliance.
• Conduct site inductions for agency staff, complete time sheets, and hand over supporting documentation to Banquet Managers.
• Assist Event Managers in training and guiding new team members in banquet and catering service techniques.
• Ensure proper handling of equipment, glassware, and banquet furniture.
• Oversee the correct storage and return of equipment, service ware, and linen.
• Supervise and coordinate event staff during banquets and catering events.
• Ensure completion of closing duties, including clearing, maintaining cleanliness, napkin counting, uniform returns, and equipment polishing for subsequent events.
• Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A diploma or certificate in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field is preferred.
• Certificates in food safety, hygiene, civil defense, or similar training are advantageous.
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in food and beverage service within hotels, banquets, or catering operations.
• At least 1 year of experience in a junior supervisory role (*, team leader, captain, or head waiter/waitress) managing service staff during large-scale events.
• Experience in both indoor banquet functions (ballrooms, weddings, conferences) and outside catering setups.
• Previous experience handling VIP and VVIP guests, with knowledge of protocol and etiquette.
• Familiarity with various service styles, including buffet, plated service, silver service, and butler service.

Work Environment

This role operates within banquet events and catering operations, requiring adaptability to various event settings and demands. The Head Waitress will work closely with the Event Managers Team and other Heads of Departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
