About the Opportunity

FSGene Medical Molecular Genetics Laboratory is seeking a highly qualified Laboratory Supervisor to join our team in the Makkah region, with responsibilities spanning our facilities in Jeddah and Makkah. This is a full-time position designed for a professional with 5-10 years of experience in a relevant laboratory setting. The successful candidate will be instrumental in overseeing the daily technical operations of our Molecular Diagnostics Laboratory.

Role Purpose

The Laboratory Supervisor will ensure that all laboratory workflows are performed in strict accordance with approved procedures, validated methods, established quality requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. This role also involves providing essential support for associated research and training activities, contributing to the laboratory's operational efficiency and scientific integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily molecular laboratory activities, workflows, and staff assignments.
• Monitor sample processing, testing, quality control (QC), documentation, and turnaround times.
• Ensure all equipment, reagents, consumables, and laboratory areas are prepared and ready for use.
• Review QC performance and coordinate the investigation of any technical issues or deviations.
• Support the validation, verification, and implementation of new laboratory tests and methods.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, calibration, qualification, and performance monitoring.
• Maintain comprehensive laboratory records, inventories, logs, and traceability documentation.
• Support staff training, competency assessment, research activities, and practical training programs.
• Assist with laboratory audits, inspections, accreditation processes, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in a molecular diagnostics laboratory setting.
• Must meet all applicable Saudi professional licensing and eligibility requirements for laboratory supervision.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within FSGene Medical Molecular Genetics Laboratory. The role is based in the Makkah region, with operational responsibilities covering our facilities in both Jeddah and Makkah. The work environment is focused on maintaining high standards of precision and compliance in molecular diagnostics.
