About the Role

Development Works Company is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join its construction team. Based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, this full-time role involves supervising and coordinating all mechanical works on-site. The successful candidate will ensure that installation activities adhere to project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and established project schedules.

Core Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor all mechanical site activities, including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Drainage systems.
Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings prior to execution.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to facilitate smooth project execution.
Ensure all work complies with project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
Prepare material requests and verify the quality and quantity of delivered materials.
Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
Monitor project progress and provide daily/weekly activity reports.
Prepare inspection requests (IRs) and coordinate with the consultant for necessary approvals.
Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on-site.
Assist in testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical project engineering within the construction sector. Prior experience in projects involving hotels, hospitals, commercial buildings, or high-rise structures is preferred.
