About the Role

Development Works Company is seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join its construction team. Based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, this full-time role involves supervising and coordinating all mechanical works on-site. The successful candidate will ensure that installation activities adhere to project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and established project schedules.

Core Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all mechanical site activities, including HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Drainage systems.
• Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and shop drawings prior to execution.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and other engineering disciplines to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Ensure all work complies with project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
• Prepare material requests and verify the quality and quantity of delivered materials.
• Conduct regular site inspections and resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
• Monitor project progress and provide daily/weekly activity reports.
• Prepare inspection requests (IRs) and coordinate with the consultant for necessary approvals.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations on-site.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical project engineering within the construction sector. Prior experience in projects involving hotels, hospitals, commercial buildings, or high-rise structures is preferred.
