The Role of Operations Manager

FSGene Medical Molecular Genetics Laboratory is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the comprehensive operations of its facility. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with operational oversight extending to activities in both Jeddah and Makkah. The role is critical for ensuring seamless coordination across all laboratory, administrative, facility, training, and support functions, while maintaining operational efficiency and strict adherence to quality and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facility and laboratory operations.
• Coordinate staffing, resources, procurement, equipment, and facility requirements.
• Monitor operational performance, timelines, service delivery, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Coordinate effectively with Technical, Quality, Commercial, and various support teams.
• Support the implementation of new laboratory services, research projects, and training programs.
• Manage vendors, maintenance schedules, equipment calibration, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and other operational necessities.
• Identify operational issues promptly and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
• Support budgeting processes, cost monitoring, and preparation of management reports.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in operations management. Prior experience within a molecular diagnostics, research, or training facility is preferred.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with operational responsibilities covering activities in both Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires a consistent presence within the facility to manage daily operations effectively.
