About the Role

EDITION is seeking a Server for The Jeddah EDITION. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and involves serving food and alcoholic beverages to guests, ensuring a high standard of service and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards.
• Answer questions regarding menu selections and communicate with the kitchen on menu inquiries, wait times, re-cook orders, and product availability.
• Relay additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Record transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order.
• Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, and glass throughout the day.
• Complete closing duties, including restocking items and turning off lights.
• Present accurate checks to guests and process payments.
• Adhere to all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents or unsafe conditions, and complete required safety training.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests.
• Communicate professionally, develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

• 0-1 year of relevant experience is required for this position.
