About the Role: Supervisor Recreation

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a Supervisor Recreation to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position that requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering high-quality recreational experiences for guests, ensuring both enjoyment and safety within the facility.

Role Purpose and Impact

As a Recreation Supervisor, you will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of recreational activities and facilities. This includes the development and promotion of engaging programs, efficient management of equipment and supplies, and maintaining a secure and pleasant environment for all guests. Your leadership will directly contribute to guest satisfaction and the operational excellence of the recreation department.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and publish recreational activity agendas and advertisements using appropriate software.
• Conduct regular inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment, informing management of low stock levels.
• Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in various recreation activities.
• Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere while providing guests with comprehensive information about available facilities and activities.
• Enforce the rules and regulations of the recreation facility to ensure the safety and welfare of all guests and members.
• Observe activity within the facility and respond appropriately to emergencies in accordance with local operating procedures.
• Identify and report situations where guests may be unable to safely participate in an activity to a supervisor or manager.
• Provide immediate assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Clean and maintain all recreational equipment and supplies to ensure operational readiness.
• Assist management in the training, motivation, and coaching of employees, serving as a professional role model.
• Report all accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Process orders or transactions from customers and collect payments as necessary.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identify opportunities to enhance organizational quality.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point-of-sale systems.

Professional Conduct and Operational Compliance

• Adhere strictly to company policies and procedures, maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and actively protect company assets.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including providing assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and guests.
• Read and visually verify information in various formats, and visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines for defects.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Supervisor Recreation position must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role within the recreation or hospitality sector. This experience should demonstrate a proven capability in managing recreational programs, ensuring guest safety, and overseeing facility operations.

Physical Demands

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 50 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Capable of navigating over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as ascending and descending stairs and/or service ramps.
• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by management.
