About the Role

Rasan Construction is seeking a Senior Estimation Engineer to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires an individual with exceptional experience in preparing costs and bids for construction projects, capable of delivering accurate estimations and comprehensive risk and cost analyses. The role is crucial for supporting technical and financial decision-making and enhancing the company's competitive advantage in tenders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimated studies and project costs in accordance with plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Study and analyze tender documents, define the scope of work, and identify potential risks.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed pricing for all project items.
• Request, analyze, and compare price offers from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with technical, engineering, and procurement departments to ensure the accuracy of estimations.
• Prepare and submit technical and financial bids within specified timelines.
• Maintain and update databases for prices, productivity, material costs, equipment, and labor.
• Analyze discrepancies between estimated and actual costs to inform future projects.
• Generate technical and financial reports related to bids and tenders.
• Ensure adherence to technical standards, client requirements, and company policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in estimation and bidding within contracting companies.
• Proven experience in preparing and analyzing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and conducting price analysis.
• Proficiency in interpreting plans, technical specifications, and contract documents.
• Solid understanding of construction execution methods, material costs, equipment, and productivity rates.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with estimation software such as Candy, CostX, PlanSwift, or equivalent is preferred.
