About the Role: Chef de Partie - Pastry

Al Marwa Rayhaan by Rotana is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie - Pastry to join our culinary team in Makkah. This full-time position is suited for kitchen professionals dedicated to upholding high standards of food preparation and service within a dynamic hotel environment.

Role Overview

As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for the daily preparation of food items and executing assigned duties to ensure all culinary standards and quality expectations are consistently met. This role involves active participation in kitchen operations and effective coordination within the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily mis-en-place and execute food production across various sections of the main kitchen or satellite kitchens.
• Coordinate daily tasks effectively with the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
• Adhere to instructions and recommendations provided by immediate superiors to ensure timely completion of daily tasks.
• Actively participate in the setup and supervision of buffets and special functions.
• Consult and verify daily requirements, upcoming functions, and last-minute event needs.

Operational Excellence and Team Leadership

The Chef de Partie is instrumental in ensuring the highest standards and consistent quality in daily food preparation. This includes staying informed about new products, recipes, and preparation techniques. You will instruct and guide subordinates through their daily food preparation requirements, fostering high motivation and an efficient, economical working environment. Collaboration and coordination with other kitchen sections regarding operational requirements, cleanliness, waste management, and cost control are also key aspects of this role.

Required Experience

This full-time position requires candidates to have 2 to 5 years of experience in a professional kitchen setting, specifically within food preparation and culinary operations. A strong understanding of kitchen standards and procedures is expected.
