About the Role

Abdul Latif Jameel Real Estate Investment is seeking a Director of Sales Marketing to lead the sales and business development strategy for a large-scale 5-star hotel in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and establishing strategic partnerships across local, regional, and international markets.

Role Overview

The Director of Sales Marketing will be a commercially driven leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies. The role requires a proven track record in large 5-star hotels, ideally with 1,000+ rooms, and significant experience in opening new markets and generating substantial room-night business.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the hotel's overall sales and business development strategy.
• Identify and penetrate new local, regional, and international source markets.
• Develop strategic partnerships with major travel agencies, tour operators, DMCs, corporate accounts, and other key stakeholders.
• Drive business growth across key segments, including Hajj & Umrah, leisure, groups, corporate, and wholesale.
• Develop and maintain relationships with major Hajj & Umrah operators and international travel partners.
• Lead international sales missions, roadshows, exhibitions, and business development activities.
• Monitor market trends, competitors, and customer behavior to identify new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Revenue Management and Marketing teams to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall revenue.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the Sales team to achieve agreed targets and KPIs.
• Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, performance reports, and market development plans.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales leadership roles within the hospitality sector.
• Proven experience in large-scale 5-star hotels, preferably with 1,000+ rooms.
• Demonstrated success in opening new markets and generating significant room-night business.
• Strong commercial acumen and a results-oriented approach.
