Senior Executive Manager Business Enablement & Strategic Transaction

About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking a Senior Executive Manager Business Enablement & Strategic Transaction to join their team in Jeddah or Makkah. This full-time role involves reviewing and assuring commercial legal advice and strategic transaction support for Bupa Arabia and its subsidiaries. The objective is to ensure that legal solutions are commercially sound and align with the company's risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the section's workload, priorities, and resources, monitoring service delivery against established standards.
• Provide guidance to direct reports on daily legal work and priorities, and recommend functional plans and resource adjustments.
• Review commercial agreements, procurement contracts, and routine business matters, validating drafting and negotiated positions prior to execution.
• Assess contract risks and advise stakeholders on practical options, escalating terms that exceed agreed authority for approval.
• Manage legal support for investments, acquisitions, financing, and joint ventures, evaluating strategic partnership and subsidiary transactions for legal risk.
• Scrutinize transaction documents and legal due diligence reports, recommending transactions and closing documentation for approval.
• Identify legal and contractual risks in material engagements, evaluate risk exposure, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Escalate material legal risks with clear recommendations for decision-making.
• Review complex legal work products for quality and consistency, verifying adherence to agreed legal standards.
• Recommend legal standards, positions, precedents, and templates for approval, and validate guidance notes before release.

Team Leadership and Development

• Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports, appraising performance and recommending development plans.
• Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
• Recommend succession plans for critical roles to ensure continuity.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess between 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in legal advisory, commercial contracting, and strategic transaction support. A strong understanding of legal risk management and quality assurance in a corporate environment is essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with the option to work from Jeddah. The role involves working within a dynamic legal team, providing critical support to Bupa Arabia and its subsidiaries.
