About the Role

Liebherr Group is seeking a Service Engineer to join its Customer Service team in Makkah and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is open exclusively to Saudi nationals. The successful candidate will be integral to ensuring the optimal performance of maritime equipment at customer sites.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary purpose of this role is to manage the installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing of various maritime equipment. This includes a wide range of maritime cranes, ensuring their reliable and efficient operation while upholding high standards of safety and service quality. The Service Engineer will provide professional technical support directly at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, overhaul, and adjust maritime equipment, including Harbour Mobile Cranes, Ship Cranes, Offshore Cranes, Ship to Shore, Rubber Tyre Gantry, and Rail Mounted Gantry.
• Perform assembly and commissioning of new machinery.
• Apply and install factory-issued updates and modifications to equipment.
• Repair or replace damaged or worn parts as required.
• Operate machines for testing, inspection, and troubleshooting purposes.
• Prepare timely and detailed reports following each service attendance.
• Adhere to all applicable safety standards and regulations.
• Represent Liebherr and its core values in all interactions.

Qualifications and Technical Expertise

• Successful completion of a technical apprenticeship as a mechanical, electronic, or mechatronic technician, or possession of a higher technical education.
• Advanced knowledge and practical experience in electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office applications.

• Demonstrated ability to organize, manage, and complete projects effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to cooperate and communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

Work Environment and Conditions

This role requires a willingness to travel extensively within Saudi Arabia to various customer sites. The Service Engineer must also be prepared to work overtime, including on weekends or on-call duty, as operational demands dictate. This is a full-time position based in the Makkah and Jeddah regions.
