About RAWAJ and the Chief Financial Officer Role

RAWAJ, a prominent company specializing in Hospitality and Hotel Management based in Makkah, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer. This full-time role involves leading the company’s financial strategy and overseeing all financial operations to ensure profitability, compliance, and sustainable growth within the unique operational landscape of the hospitality sector.

Strategic Financial Leadership

The Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of financial systems, regulations, and instructions, while developing financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying financial needs, managing return requirements, and assessing risk appetite levels across the organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies in alignment with company objectives and regulatory frameworks.
  • Oversee the assessment of financial needs, return expectations, and risk appetite across all operations.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ascertain financial requirements, monitor expenditures, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and financial insights to senior management.
  • Contribute to setting the financial department's objectives and lead the execution of plans, programs, and projects designed to achieve these goals.
  • Establish and maintain metrics and frameworks to accurately measure the achievement of financial plans and objectives.
  • Supervise the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, balance sheets, and the analysis of final accounts.
  • Manage and organize financial and accounting records, ensuring data accuracy, timely closing processes, and compliance with all financial and accounting systems.
  • Oversee the compilation of reports detailing financial revenue performance for presentation to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Professional Experience

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in finance management.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior financial leadership role, such as Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director, or Area Director of Finance.
  • Proven track record of managing large, multi-property operational budgets and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) projects.

Essential Skills and Expertise

  • Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, yield/revenue management, and cost control, specifically within the hospitality sector.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and the preparation of financial statements.
  • Capability in budget design, development, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Experience in preparing annual accounts and comprehensive financial statements.
