Control Room Operator

About the Role

Abdul Latif Jameel is seeking a Control Room Operator to join their team in Makkah, with operations spanning Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves operating and monitoring CCTV and FLIR systems, managing security operations, and ensuring effective communication across all connected sites. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CCTV and FLIR systems according to established guidelines and manuals.
• Identify and report all fire alarms and motion detection events triggered by the CCTV system.
• Respond to all emergencies in line with the Company’s Emergency Policy and Procedures.
• Ensure effective communication with all sites connected to the control room.
• Verify security associate attendance and punctuality, ensuring all sites are manned, and record any incidents in the Occurrence Book (OB).
• Immediately inform the security in charge on duty if any security guard is not relieved or if a post is unoccupied.
• Notify the concerned manager of any incidents within ALJ premises in the area of responsibility.
• Record all activities with necessary details during emergencies to facilitate comprehensive reporting.
• Confirm all gates are locked and ensure keys are securely kept and maintained.
• Monitor the CCTV/FLIR System and report any abnormalities to the security senior supervisor.
• Conduct a system health check on each shift to ensure operational status, reporting any faults to the Central Control Room (CCR).
• Ensure all security dogs are deployed on time and record any inconsistencies at applicable sites.
• Monitor all contractors and visitors via CCTV and report any inconsistencies.
• Handover the shift to the incoming duty operator, providing updates on all incidents and activities, and formally documenting the handover.
• Maintain control room equipment, including CCTV and NVRs, and report any faults for prompt resolution.
• Manage access to the Control Room and ensure all guests and visitors obtain an access permit prior to their visit.

The Control Room Operator directly impacts the management of security associate attendance and punctuality, ensuring all sites are equipped with full security capacity. The role also plays a crucial supporting function in maintaining effective communication across all sites connected to the control room.

Decision-Making Authority

The job holder is authorized to grant access to the CCTV system for heads of departments, based on instructions provided by line managers.
