Coord Housekeeping

About the Role

The Coord Housekeeping position at Marriott International is a full-time role based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role provides essential support to the Housekeeping management team in the daily operations of the department, focusing on maintaining high standards of service and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate reports on rented rooms, verify room statuses, identify unsuitable rooms, and prioritize room cleaning.
• Update the status of departing guest rooms and ensure timely cleaning of dirty and vacant rooms.
• Assist Housekeeping management in the daily coordination and execution of departmental activities.
• Liaise with Engineering, Front Desk, and Laundry departments to coordinate efforts effectively.
• Document and resolve issues related to unsuitable rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk.
• Prepare and distribute assignment sheets and schedules to Housekeeping staff.
• Record, monitor, and update the "Do Not Disturb" room list, assigning priority to specific rooms as needed.
• Perform administrative tasks pertinent to housekeeping operations.

• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Attend required safety training and obtain necessary certifications.
• Maintain a clean, complete, and professional uniform and appearance at all times in the workplace.
• Uphold confidentiality regarding company and hotel-specific information and protect all company property.
• Welcome and receive guests according to company standards, anticipating and responding to their needs.
• Ensure compliance with all quality requirements and standards.
• Foster positive and constructive professional relationships with colleagues, supporting common goals and addressing concerns appropriately.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, preparing and correcting written documents accurately and comprehensively.
• Utilize computers for entering and retrieving professional information.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
• License or Certification: None specified.

Physical Demands

• Ability to work standing, sitting, and moving for extended periods.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, pull, and place loads weighing up to kilograms independently.
