About Shangri-La Jeddah

Shangri-La Jeddah is a luxury hotel located on the new Jeddah Waterfront along the Red Sea. It features 203 stylish rooms and suites, 17 luxury serviced apartments, and 4 restaurants and lounges, including the Shang Palace. The hotel is conveniently situated near Jeddah’s popular landmarks and the Red Sea Mall, and it is connected to 116 privately owned Burj Assila Residences.

The Role: Director of Spa

The Director of Spa is a full-time leadership position responsible for the overall strategic, operational, and financial performance of the spa division at Shangri-La Jeddah. This role focuses on developing and delivering an exceptional luxury wellness experience that aligns with Shangri-La’s brand standards, ensuring high guest satisfaction, strong commercial results, and a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily spa operations with attention to quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
Achieve spa revenue, profitability, and budget targets.
Develop strategies to increase treatment revenue, memberships, wellness programs, and retail sales.
Identify new business opportunities and market trends to strengthen the spa’s market position.
Ensure personalized luxury service for every guest throughout their spa journey.
Maintain consistently high guest satisfaction scores and service standards.
Implement improvements based on guest feedback and market expectations.
Ensure compliance with Shangri-La standards, local regulations, hygiene, and wellness protocols.
Optimize resources, facilities, inventory, and operational procedures.
Recruit, train, coach, and retain talented spa professionals.
Create a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the team.
Develop leadership capabilities within the spa team.
Represent the spa professionally within the luxury hospitality and wellness community.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Candidates for the Director of Spa position are expected to have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant leadership role within the luxury hospitality and wellness sector. The role requires a proven ability to manage complex spa operations, drive commercial performance, and uphold high standards of guest service and brand integrity.
