About the Role

Bupa Arabia is seeking an experienced Endocrinology Consultant to join its team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience. The consultant will be responsible for providing comprehensive endocrine care, contributing to patient health outcomes, and upholding high standards of medical practice.

Clinical Practice and Patient Management

• Perform thorough medical assessments, including detailed patient histories, physical examinations, and the ordering and interpretation of specialized diagnostic tests for endocrine disorders.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of endocrine conditions, such as diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, adrenal disorders, pituitary disorders, and reproductive hormone disorders.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, incorporating evidence-based medicine, patient preferences, and individualized endocrine care strategies.
• Monitor and manage chronic endocrine conditions, providing ongoing care, medication management, and lifestyle interventions to optimize patient health and well-being.

Patient Education and Collaborative Care

• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding endocrine disorders, lifestyle modifications, medication management, and self-care strategies.
• Utilize both in-person and telemedicine platforms to provide consultations, monitor patients' progress, and offer virtual follow-up care when appropriate.
• Collaborate effectively with primary care physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.

Strategic Contributions and Professional Development

• Practice population health management by identifying and addressing endocrine health issues at a population level, implementing preventive measures, and promoting health awareness.
• Embrace value-based care principles, focusing on optimizing patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs through care coordination, preventive measures, and efficient resource utilization.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in endocrinology, including new treatment modalities, guidelines, population health management strategies, and value-based care models.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for patients, ensuring full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and clinical audits to enhance patient care and outcomes within the field of endocrinology.

Required Experience

Candidates for the Endocrinology Consultant position must possess 5 to 10 years of experience in endocrinology, demonstrating a strong background in diagnosing, treating, and managing a diverse range of endocrine conditions.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time role based in the cities of Jeddah and Makkah, within the Makkah region of Saudi Arabia. The consultant will operate across these locations as required by Bupa Arabia.
