About the Opportunity

Salt's client, a prominent multinational business, is actively seeking an immediately available Finance Consultant Tax. This full-time role is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on specialized tax expertise within the Kingdom.

Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to provide expert consultation on Value Added Tax (VAT) and Withholding Tax within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The consultant will be instrumental in interpreting and ensuring compliance with evolving tax regulations and accounting standards for the client's operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and apply accounting and tax compliance requirements effectively.
• Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and detailed process maps.
• Collaborate and work efficiently with diverse cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Banking, Accounting, Finance, Indirect Tax, or ERP systems.
• Extensive professional experience specifically within the banking domain.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with VAT systems implemented in GCC countries.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• A solid understanding of accounting rules and process flows.
• Proficiency in VAT rules, encompassing both input VAT and output VAT, as well as Withholding Tax regulations.
• Strong capabilities in BRD writing and process mapping.
• Highly analytical and detail-oriented, coupled with excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with Accounting systems (*, Oracle Financials) and various transaction systems (*, Loans, Trade Finance, Treasury systems).

Preferred Qualifications

Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA will be considered a significant advantage for this role.
