The Role of Head of Marketing

Qanoniah is establishing its marketing department and seeks a Head of Marketing to lead this function. The Head of Marketing will be responsible for growing revenue and enhancing Qanoniah's market recognition as a leading AI legal solution in the region. This full-time position is based in Mecca, Makkah, with periodic travel to Riyadh, and requires 5-10 years of experience.

The role encompasses all marketing aspects, including brand and awareness, conferences and events, webinars, digital growth, product marketing, and sales enablement. The Head of Marketing will define the marketing strategy, manage marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue targets, and build the department and team. This position reports directly to the CEO as a member of the leadership team and involves leading an existing small team while extending marketing efforts to align with sales and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and own the marketing strategy, go-to-market plan, and marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue targets for new logos and expansion, in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success.
• Establish the marketing department's structure, processes, budget, and manage team hiring and development.
• Define product positioning and messaging across the portfolio for legal, contracts, procurement, and digital transformation leaders.
• Lead demand generation across various channels, including digital growth, webinars, conferences, events, account-based marketing, executive programs, and partners, with performance measured against a shared pipeline language with Sales.
• Position Qanoniah as a reference in legal AI for government entities and enterprises through brand development, PR, and Arabic-first thought leadership.
• Enable the Sales team and build marketing operations to measure return on investment against pipeline.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years in B2B marketing, including at least 4 years marketing enterprise technology, AI technology, or SaaS to large enterprises and government entities in Saudi Arabia.
• Demonstrated success in growing marketing-sourced pipeline and revenue, with an understanding of pipeline coverage and win rates.
• Experience in elevating a product or company from an emerging presence to a recognized leader within its category.
• Strong product marketing skills and the ability to communicate AI concepts clearly and build trust with risk-averse legal buyers.
• Experience building or scaling a marketing function at an early stage, with at least 2 years leading a team and owning strategy.
• Possess executive presence when interacting with General Counsels, government officials, media, and partners.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Makkah, with periodic travel to Riyadh.

Preferred Qualifications

• Marketing experience in LegalTech, GovTech, or regulated industries.
• Experience marketing AI products to risk-averse buyers.
• Established media network in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience with Series A or B startups.

Compensation
