About the Role

Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking a Lead Design Engineer Chiller to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position will focus on new product development and technical support within the chiller and data center sectors. The role requires a dedicated engineer with a strong background in mechanical design and product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and manufacturing efforts for new chiller and data center development projects.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new products, including specific options.
• Develop costing information and maintain Technical Publications (TP) for new chiller products.
• Monitor and control unit costs to ensure gross profit (GP) remains at standard levels.
• Issue controlled nesting and bending drawings for new product designs.
• Prepare Research and Development (R&D) Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Develop catalogue and Installation & Operation Manual (IOM) data for new products.
• Address all technical issues and inquiries received from the Marketing department.
• Prepare all necessary input data for selection software.
• Oversee and be responsible for the testing and validation of new products.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor of Science (BSC) in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a design engineering role, preferably within the HVAC or related industries.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated expertise in CAD software for design and drafting.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with specific work locations including King Abdullah Economic City and Makkah. The role is integral to the operations within the region.
