Role Overview

Novelus is seeking a Network and Infrastructure Engineer L to join their team in Makkah, with work locations including Jeddah and Makkah. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the company's infrastructure and networks, resolving incidents, and implementing system changes.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain reliable operation of the company's in-scope infrastructure and networks, resolve escalated incidents, and execute controlled maintenance and recovery activities.
• Administer Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, virtualization, storage, and backup platforms, ensuring system health, access permissions, and scheduled operations.
• Operate and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, switches, routers, Wi-Fi, VPN, and connectivity services, implementing approved network and firewall changes in coordination with cybersecurity.
• Manage escalated incidents through diagnosis, service restoration, validation, and closure, coordinating L3, OEM, ISP, and vendor support as required.
• Investigate infrastructure alerts, identify performance bottlenecks, and monitor CPU, memory, storage, and bandwidth utilization to recommend preventive actions.
• Assess and implement approved patches, upgrades, and configuration changes using impact assessments, maintenance windows, testing, and rollback procedures.
• Monitor backup success, investigate failures, verify protection coverage, and perform approved restore tests and DR exercises against agreed recovery objectives.
• Implement approved system hardening, vulnerability remediation, privileged-access controls, and certificate renewals in coordination with the cybersecurity engineer.
• Perform authorized equipment installation, replacement, and physical troubleshooting, guiding Service Desk engineers and validating completed work.
• Investigate recurring incidents, document root causes, and implement corrective actions, maintaining known-error records and practical troubleshooting guides.
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, asset/CMDB records, and operational runbooks, automating repetitive tasks and sharing knowledge with Service Desk teams.
• Participate in discovery, knowledge transfer, reverse shadowing, and readiness testing, supporting major incidents and scheduled maintenance under the agreed roster.
