About Rixos Hotels and the Opportunity

Rixos Hotels, established in 2000, is a pioneer of the ‘ALL Inclusive, ALL Exclusive’ concept, offering luxurious stays with diverse culinary experiences, entertainment, and wellness activities. Each property provides a unique experience blending local culture, global influences, and Turkish heritage. Rixos Hotels is seeking a dedicated Quality Officer to join its team in Makkah, covering operations in King Abdullah Economic City. This is a full-time position open exclusively to Saudi Nationals.

Role Purpose

The Quality Officer is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, hygiene, food safety, and environmental management across the hotel operations. This role involves monitoring compliance with various international standards, conducting regular audits, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Core Responsibilities

Monitor and enforce compliance with ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System), ISO 9001 (Total Quality Management System), ISO 10002 (Customer Satisfaction), EN 15288 (Swimming Safety), and other relevant sustainability and OHSMS standards.
Conduct regular audits and inspections across all relevant hotel areas, including receiving, stores, kitchen, F&B units, SPA, rooms, laundry, and Rixy Club, to ensure adherence to documented processes and hygiene standards.
Develop, implement, and manage food safety and hygiene protocols in accordance with ISO 22000, ensuring strict adherence to food safety protocols in receiving, storing, and preparation processes.
Initiate and monitor corrective actions, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence of non-conformities.
Monitor and analyze service performance scores, identify root causes, and collaborate with department heads on improvement suggestions.
Oversee waste management, energy efficiency, and water conservation programs to monitor and reduce the hotel's environmental footprint.
Collaborate with relevant departments to implement improvements for customer satisfaction, maintain and enhance recreation services, and promote sustainable practices and initiatives as per ACCOR policy.
Execute regular technical and skills training for relevant standards and hotel procedures, including food safety and other areas critical to quality management.
Provide feedback to management through data analysis, root cause analysis, and action plan formulation.
Regularly provide updates and lead HACCP meetings, and conduct vendor inspections on the property as needed.

Qualifications and Experience

At least 2 years of traceable hands-on experience working on food safety and hygiene, specifically in terms of ISO 22000, within a luxury 5-star property.
Ability to join the team within a maximum of one month.
This position is designated for Saudi Nationals Only.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, covering operations in King Abdullah Economic City. The role involves working within a dynamic luxury hotel environment, collaborating with various departments to uphold and enhance service and operational standards.
